A Little Bit About Me
I started getting into Islam when I was 18 at a point where I was still trying to figure out who I was and I simply loved that Allah has clearly told us the criteria for right and wrong. In my teen years it gave me such peace to know where I belonged. I have gone down in my deen past few years after the many struggles I have faced and forgotten alot of islamic knowledge that I had gained. I've recently enrolled in an online university as a way to regain my knowledge and eman. It's an uphill battle for me at this point but what keeps me going is knowing that sweetness of eman that I first felt when I became practicing. And it's that sweetness and peace that I crave to have in my life again.

Reading is my passion and i'm particularly keen on self help, motivational and parenting books. I enjoy meeting new people, eating out and going to new places. I can be very shy and very outgoing in different settings. There are days where I like going out n days where i like to just relax at home with my family talking and sharing some laughs.

Allah has given us skills and we need to polish them and use them to benefit those around us. Over the years I have dabbled in various projects from freelance graphic design to teaching a parenting workshop. My husband and kids are my main priority and all my projects are secondary which is why I only do part time projects. There are also phases where I am not working on any projects at all because I simply don't feel like it.

Family and friends know me as a creative and resourceful person. Someone who isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in even if it means she stands alone. I also believe in letting go and having fun and enjoying the moment.

I have three lovely children: two boys (9 and 5) and a girl (3). I have been homeschooling them for the past 5 years and it has been a wonderful learning experience for all of us. We have made many memories over the years from baking together to roller blading as a family. I try to instill in them the love of learning and more importantly the love of Allah. I try to be their mom and their friend for each role is crucial to having a meaningful relationship.

What I Am Looking For
Am looking for a husband who understands that Islam is more than rituals, its about patiently lending an ear to an old man at the masjid who is sharing a memory from long ago, its about quietly handing some money to a poor shopkeeper, its about stopping to wipe your son's tears after he's fallen off his bike, its about being just and honest with the client who has tried to deceive you every chance he gets. A man who keeps the company of those who remind him of Allah and uses that to motivate him to keep learning, growing and improving in his Deen.

Throughout life there are ups and downs, good and bad days and I need my man to stand by me through it all. A few jokes, a dash of empathy and a heartfelt conversation over a cup of coffee can really bring hearts together. Someone who understands that there are different ways to do things and is open to trying new things. A man who likes to socialize and also have some family time, who likes to go out to new places but also enjoys some quiet time at home. Someone who enjoys spending time with his wife and children and supports homeschooling. Nationality and money aren't important as long as he can provide at a reasonable level. Rizq is from Allah and I want a man who earns for the sake of Allah fulfilling his responsibility to provide for his family but doesn't go through life chasing after money.
